The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies You’ll Ever Eat.

While it's hard to beat a good chocolate chip cookie, trust us when we say "you gotta try these!" We're giving your classic Chocolate Chip Cookie a tasty makeover with nutty brown butter and a hint of coffee with a little sprinkle of COFFEE BEAN FLAKE sea salt on top! This cookie has a warming, nostalgic flavor that just tastes like home...but a little extra special.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (8 oz) Salted Butter

  • 1 cup packed Light Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 2 Large Eggs

  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 2 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

  • 12 oz (1 package) Chocolate Chips or Broken Chocolate chunks, semisweet or milk - your choice

  • Alaska Pure Coffee Bean Sea Salt

* Note that we don’t add salt to this batter recipe, because we are using Salted Butter and adding Sea Salt to the top of each cookie.

Directions:

  • Melt Butter in a small heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring and swirling often until water evaporates and butter turns a deep golden amber color - about 10 minutes. It will foam up right before it is ready, move off of heat as needed to see color. It should have a delicious nutty aroma. You will have dark brown bits on the bottom of the pan, This is very important , make sure you don’t pull it from heat too soon. Cover and chill until it is cool and begins to solidify, about an hour or 20 minutes in the fridge. Please don’t add butter before it is cooled, you will have greasy, flat cookies.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Combine Brown Sugar, Granulated Sugar in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment on medium speed (or with a hand mixer). Add the Brown Butter and beat until creamy. Make sure you scrape and add all the brown bits from the bottom of the butter pan, that’s pure buttery goodness!

  • Add Eggs one at a time. Add Vanilla. Mix until blended.

  • In separate bowl, whisk together Flour, Baking Soda. Gradually add to Brown Butter mixture, beating on low speed until just blended, being careful not to over mix. Over mixing can lead to excess gluten development resulting in a dense cookie.

  • Stir in Chocolate Chips until well combined then steal a little bite of dough!

  • Use a 2 Tbs cookie scoop (or use 2 spoons or hands to make a 2 Tbs ball of dough) scoop and drop cookies on a heavy duty cookie sheet, 2” apart.

  • Sprinkle a good pinch of Coffee Bean Sea Salt onto each gob of dough.

  • Bake cookies in batches until golden brown, 8 - 10 minutes.

  • Transfer to wire rack or plate to cool.

  • Enjoy the buttery, chocolatey, salty goodness!
